Bags of Luxury and her Moscow muse

There is nothing like Russia in winter! Quite a challenge even for the expert in streamlined packing. I managed to fish out my most luxe of snow safe attire and got properly submersed in Moscow milieu! This time I met with a stunning young IT girl who has developed quite a penchant for Hermès, particularly in pink! A proper luxury brand addict she has been searching high and low for a Birkin in pink matt croc with shiny palladium hardware. Now this really has been a challenge for BOL with Hermes no longer producing this stunning little masterpiece in leather! After hitting up all our Hermès sources…. success!

I met the Russian beauty at her stunning apartment in the Khamovniki District aka the ‘Golden Mile’ and she took me out Ruski style… First up was the Oldich Dress & Drink conceptual space. This is seething with fashionistas and is a favourite with the top fashion editors, especially as it is right near the Conde Nast publishing house. There is the most incredible selection of vintage dresses and accessories and our Hermès Birkins fit right in among the luxury labels and stunning frocks. Alongside all the fashion fun is a cracking bar and before long we were ready to hit the next stop on our Moscow soiree.

My guide then took me to a really fantastic all round bar. Simachev has fab food and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner but we made it just in time to sample the highlight… dancing on tables to fantastic tunes! Our Hermès handbags certainly fit the chic and glamourous scene and after a fair few vodka martinis I made it home just in time to catch my flight to the next stop… Copenhagen or CPH to those in the know.
